Create an Elegant Upsweep Hairdo for Medium to Long Hair
If you are looking for that perfect hairdo for a prom, wedding, or a certain formal affair, you will want to consider an upsweep hairdo. This hairdo is elegant, feminine, and simple to do.
You need to wash your hair first. After your hair has been washed and towel dried until it is just damp, apply a volumizing mousse to just your roots. Flip your hair with your head down. You will want to use your fingers to work your hair forward and backward. You will need to do this until your hair is almost completely dry. Flip your hair back as you stand straight and blow dry it the rest of the way.
Use a round brush to just smooth your hair but don’t run the brush through your hair, just over it. One more time, bend over and flip your hair forward; use your hands to gather all of your hair as if you were going to put it into a high pony tail, leave a thin long strand out of the pony tail.
Don’t pull your hair into the pony tail too tight. Wrap the stray strand around the rubber band of your pony tail to hide it. Wrap your hair around and use bobby pins to secure it into place. Spray your hair with a strong hold spray and you are ready to go!
For an added touch you can leave a few strands of hair out and curl them around your face, this adds a nice touch to your hairdo. You may also want to wear a couple of accents in your hair to accentuate the hairdo.
