Caring For Ageing Skin

If you have ever shuddered at the sight of fine lines and tiny spots on your skin, you would understand how difficult it is to age gracefully like so many celebrities seem to be claiming. It is like a vicious cycle: the older you grow, the more you age. The more you age, the more susceptible will your skin be to fine lines and wrinkles. And the more (and deeper) your wrinkles are, the more you worry about them. And everybody knows that worrying causes frown lines and worry lines: more wrinkles!

So as a good start, STOP WORRYING. Yes, stress is a big cause of early signs of ageing. Meditation, mood control and laughter are your weapons womanexercisingagainst fine lines.

  • Drink plenty of water. It counters dehydration which can otherwise accelerate wrinkling.
  • Wear sunscreen at least fifteen minutes before you step out into the sun, and limit your sun exposure. Wear a sunscreen even if it is cold or cloudy. You can try full sleeved shirts and funky straw hats at the beach.
  • Try and use herbal skin care products as far as possible, as undue exposure of the skin to chemicals will only do it harm in the long run.
  • Moisturize everyday. Apply a night cream before you sleep. Try a moisturizing gel if you live in a hot or humid area.
Cleanse and tone your skin at least every other day.
  • It is essential to your skin’s health to remove all traces of make up as soon as possible. Never wear make up to bed, no matter how tired you are.
